Birthday Gifts

Two tote bags filled with goodies for recent birthday girls. I used fusible fleece to help them keep their shape. I really like the way they turned out.

Bit too much flash on this pic, but little Miss wanted to model the bags for me. :)

Owl Set

Another cooler weather outfit for Miss Lindsey. I'm debating on making a pinafore to go over this to dress it up a bit. But, that would involve tracing a larger size pattern...let's see if I get in the mood to do that anytime soon.

I used variegated embroidery thread on the owl. I love how it turned out!
I have several outfits half-way done that I'm hoping to finish up in the next week. I've also been giving my embroidery machine a work out...first time since around Jan/Feb that I've used it.

Puppy Dress

Ugh. Even after adjustments to the pattern, this dress turned out too big...again. I might give it one more go and see if I can't get the fit right... I like the fullness of the sleeves and the puppy fabric she picked out herself ♥.
My little model was willing to give Mommy a pose despite the fact that it's about 90 degrees outside and she's wearing a long-sleeved dress. She's so sweet.

Last one for summer.

She calls this her "Strawberry Shortcake" dress. Oliver + S pattern ♥.

I just put a quick rolled hem in it for now, but I plan on hemming it properly later on. She's got enough room to layer for cooler weather, so she'll be able to wear this for awhile still. First time I used the button hole attachment on my new machine...I'm in love!!!

Only a Sewing Mama...

We had 30 minutes until we had to leave the house when I realized that my daughter had no clean panties. She likes to change them after every time she goes potty, but that's another issue. I had just started the dryer with 5 pair in it, but there was no way they would be dry in time. So, what did I do? Made her a new pair. And, even made them to match the dress she was wearing. It's great to be a sewing mama!

Pant Set for Fall

Getting Lindsey's wardrobe ready for cooler weather.

Trying to break away from my quick and easy lettuce-edge rolled hem and try some decorative stitches from my new machine. Very cute, but not as quick to stitch out as the rolled hem.

Sewing for the boys.

Denim shorts for my oldest. Extra long per his request.
His favorite part...the pocket!
Another set of camo raglans for the twins.

Also cut and hemmed four pair of jeans that were too short or ripped. Quick and easy shorts!
